space Health Information Solutions supports website construction.
space
space We have implemented a web-based data reporting system for California hospitals participating in the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC). A demonstration version of these reports is available. To access them, click here. The reports make use of SAS HTML writing capabilities, SAS driven JAVA applet configuration, and SAS/Intrnet.
space
space As the above reports were developed, together with CPQCC staff, we have developed a companion data submission web site that CPQCC member hospitals can use to submit, review, or edit their data. The website combines MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Adobe Acrobat Distiller, the compression utility WinRar, and SAS/Intrnet to provide comprehensive data management tools in real-time. The system is described in a paper we presented at the 2005 WUSS conference in San Jose. The paper can be downloaded by clicking on this link. The presentation slides can be downloaded here.. The hospital user end of the on-line data entry system can be accessed at http://www.cpqccreport.org. To logon as demonstration user, use the hospital number 0000 and the password test.

space
space We have designed the website for the Improved Perinatal Outcome Data Reports (IPODR). The website gives access to ZIP code level data describing perinatal risk factors and health outcomes for infants born in California between 1989 and 2004. The website is updated annually with new data.
We are currently in the process of adding dynamic features to this website.
space
space Risk-adjusted Cesarean section rates for California hospitals were summarized for a project that we have carried out for the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative. The report can be accessed here.
space
space The majority of webpages for these website were produced using SAS/Macro™ language. Our next goal in the improvement of information delivery is the incorporation of dynamic elements into websites, letting thin clients access and update information warehouses. Check back here for updates on these projects.
